Course Request Confirmation

May 10, 2022

Hello RE Mountain Families,

Please find attached the course request confirmation process we are asking all students to complete – Course Planning and Timetable Update.pdf

In short, we are asking:

– Students to log into MyED BC to see their course requests

– Grade 11 and 12 students should check with post-secondary schools for program specific requirements for admission

– All students should use this Form link https://bit.ly/3M3KiQs to request any course changes before 9am on May 19

———————————————————————————————————————

We are busy building next year’s timetable based on students’ spring course selections.  To ensure we build a timetable that accurately reflects the courses students want, we are asking that students log into MyED and confirm their course requests for the 2022-2023 school year.  Please see the attached screen shot below for instructions.

Please note: these are only REQUESTS and are not your timetable for next year; carefully consider both your primary and alternate course requests.  Use this form (https://bit.ly/3M3KiQs) to request a change in course selection now.  The form closes at 9am on May 19th.

Finalized student timetables will be released at the end of August or the beginning of September.

Students in Grades 9 and 10:

Course availability is not unlimited, so students may find that they are enrolled in classes they did not select.  As a comprehensive high school, we encourage students to take risks in their learning and push themselves to get the most out of their high school experience.

Students in Grades 11 and 12:

If students are planning to go to college or university, please do your due diligence now and look at the specific courses post-secondary schools require.

Ensure course requests reflect the classes needed to receive acceptance.  After the second week of September, we will not be able to accommodate program specific course changes.

Students who miss the course change deadline, need specific courses to graduate, or to get into post-secondary schools may need to take classes through Langley Education Center, U-Connect, or other on-line schools to take courses they require.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your student’s counsellor:

Mr. Jermaine Kemp – A-F

Mrs. Tammy Ough – G-LM

Mrs. Tera Springenatic – LN to R

Mrs. Janice Babalos – S-Z

Mrs. Tina Costopoulos – IB Program
