The Fine Arts Department has chosen the slogan “Making Authentic Connections” for their plan. Essentially, students need to know who their target audience is and how they will connect with them. This applies to all areas of the Fine and Performing Arts. Students will be asked to break down what they are doing, critiquing and analyzing their art to determine if it may make an authentic connection, connecting life through art. Students need to develop empathy in order to understand their audience and connect better to them.
Data will be gathered in the spring of 2018 from teachers and students to determine how this plan impacted student learning.
