REMSS has several students and their families that are supported over the holiday season, and we would really appreciate your support this year with the Holiday Hampers campaign! Students have been encouraged to bring in non-perishable items, and we need your help to remind them. Our goal is to fill 50+ big boxes! There is also a “Gift Hub” in the main office with wish list items. Please swing by to grab a gift-giving tag or two if you are able to. If you are unable to come into the building, please e-mail JBabalos@sd35.bc.ca or LBarirani@sd35.bc.ca and we can set you up. Deadline to bring in food and gift items is Wednesday, December 13.
If you are unable to drop off items at the school, can also reach out to Montana, one of our youth workers at the school at munruh@sd35.bc.ca and she can arrange pick up. Some non-perishable ideas can include:
- Rice, flour, pasta
- Cereal
- Snacks (granola bars, fruit cups etc)
- Sugar
- Canned foods
- Cake mixing, icing
- Juice
- Soup, beans, corn, pasta sauce
- Laundry detergent
- New towels (hand towels, dish towels, bath towels)
- Dish soap
